Gypsy Moth - Greenwich - PubMonday, 10 March 2008I think the Gypsy Moth has had a bit of trouble keeping custom, it's one of those pubs that doesn't havce to try too hard cos it's right by the park and will always get a steady stream of tourist customers, it's past hands a couple of times in recent years, and in each incarnation it never manages to surpass, as chrius puts it a good, but not outstanding standard. Shame as with a bit of effort it could be something really special.

Fluid - Clerkenwell - BarThursday, 08 November 2007This bar is great for any people that work in the city but don't really count themselves amongst the usual "city types," cocktails are well mixed and generous but pricey, so head along before happy hour ends at 7pm and get 2-4-1. the basement provides a darkened dancefloor for late night antics, and during the day its a sophisticated sushi restaurant, with bento boxes fopr around a tenner.
Bleeding Heart Tavern - Clerkenwell - PubTuesday, 24 April 2007The bleeding heart Tavern is part of a trinity of bleading heart establishments sat facing each other in a corner of Greville street. Theres the tavern (just drink), bistro (halfway house between food anddrink) and restaurant (food). The tavern mostly attracts custom from the clientele of the restaurant, going for a pre dinner aperatif or after work drink. Its packed full most evenings with lawyers, bankers and other suited and booted types, glad to wait for 15 minutes to order an over priced beer. The tavern seems tolive of the name of the restaurant which is in fact excellent. By all means go here if you plan to eat in the vicinity, but if a simple beer and a pack of peanuts is all you're after, dont bother. Why not try heading down the road a bit further to the King of Hearts Pub or towards Smithfields to the Buthchers Hook instead? both have a bit more atmosphere, and will leave a smaller dent in your wallet. :-
