We are lucky to pay our way into this members’ bar with only one fiver. This is the best unadvertised secret of London (until now). You could have easily passed the entrance every day for years without knowing. Disguised as itself, an old door that train conductors appear to use, leads you down a tunnel underneath London Bridge station. It’s not unusual to feel a bit uneasy as you walk through this dimmed tunnel unguided. You just know that you must walk towards the light in hope of arriving at the bar. Once in, you feel as though you have discovered a place that you wish you knew about before. This experience is fun to share with your friends, just try not to tell them about it, as wandering around the tunnels is more fun when you don’t know if there really is a bar… shh!
