Pie, pie and more pie please. If you like pie, Bethnal Green and small ornate pubs, you will like this one. This pub has character, there is a traditional element and Christmassy feel. Games are stacked in the corner ready and waiting for you. The Camel strokes the back for a variety of people attracting regulars, which sometimes causes them to run out of mash potato. They probably have a very small kitchen but it doesn’t reflect the delicious pies that they create. Their menu is small in a perfect way, giving an ideal amount of choice and food that never fails to make you want to try another pie on another rainy day. The pies are £6.75 and beers are average price of £2.50 to £3 so it’s affordable in a lovely setting. It sits on the corner of Sugar Loaf Walk with a few wooden benches in view of the sun. There is one last thing to mention; the wallpaper is gorgeous.
